Is anyone else suffering HUGE CONTINUOUS ALARMING overcharges for HP Instant Ink subscription. I was charged for more than 100 prints never actually/literally printed? Is this subscription a scam? Not judging!!! Genuine question to the community.

Hi @Donnalsc , Welcome to HP Support Community!

I understand you are being charged for overages on your Instant Ink. Here's what I found-

  • On HP’s Instant Ink plans page (US region), it states:
“Each additional set of 10 pages for just $1.50.” HP

  • In the Instant Ink FAQ, HP reiterates that extra pages cost $1.50. HP

  • The Instant Ink Terms of Service confirm that “Additional Page Sets” (i.e. overage blocks) will be charged if you exceed your plan’s pages + any rollover pages. instantink.hpconnected.com

  • From community forums:

“you will be charged a definite amount for every 10 sets of pages after the rollover pages expire.” HP Support Community

So the most consistent official figure is $1.50 per extra 10-page block (in the U.S. market). But that might change by country or plan type (consumer, business, etc.).

What you should check for your overage cost

Because it can differ by country/region, you’ll need to verify this in your Instant Ink account dashboard. Here’s how:

  1. Log in to your HP Instant Ink / HP Smart account.

  2. Go to your plan summary or billing settings.

  3. Look for a section like “Extra Pages / Overage Fees” or “Additional Page Sets”.

  4. It should list how many pages per block (e.g. 10 pages) and how much each block costs.

  5. Also check the terms or “Help” section in your regional HP site (for example HP India, HP UK) — sometimes localized pages list the overage in your currency.

This document also has some FAQs you can take a look at which will give you a better understanding of the program.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
