What printer model?  If your printer was enrolled in HP Instant Ink there is a monthly fee for usage, perhaps with additional fees if certain limits are exceeded. If you do not want to pay you can cancel the HP Instant Ink account, pay the last bill (that will arrive after the account is canceled) and replace the HP Instant Ink cartridges with retail cartridges.  Note that HP Instant Ink cartridges will not work without an active subscription to HP Instant Ink.
