Hi @irmaksoy,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you have cancelled your Instant Ink account and your printer is now displaying a cartridge or account issue error, it is likely because Instant Ink cartridges only function while the printer is enrolled in the Instant Ink service. Here are the steps to resolve this issue:

Remove Instant Ink Cartridges:

  • Instant Ink cartridges only work in enrolled printers. You need to remove the Instant Ink cartridges from your printer.

Purchase Original HP Cartridges:

  • Purchase Original HP Ink or Toner directly from a retailer to replace the Instant Ink cartridges.

Install New Cartridges:

  • Install the Original HP cartridges you purchased into your printer.

Restart Your Printer:

  • Turn off your printer and turn it back on to ensure the new cartridges are recognized.

If the error persists, follow these additional steps to reset your printer and update settings:

Reset the Printer

  1. Remove Rechargeable Battery (if applicable):
    • If your printer has a rechargeable battery, remove it.
  2. Power Off:
    • Press the power button to turn off the printer. If it does not turn off, disconnect the power cord.
  3. Unplug Power Cord:
    • Unplug the power cord from the power source.
  4. Wait:
    • Wait for 60 seconds.
  5. Reconnect:
    • Connect the power cord directly to a wall outlet and to the printer.
  6. Power On:
    • Turn on the printer to complete the reset.

Update Firmware

  • HP regularly releases new firmware versions with product enhancements or issue fixes. Update your printer's firmware by following the guide in Update the firmware on an HP printer.

Turn On Web Services

  • An interruption in connection to the HP Instant Ink service can cause errors. Ensure that Web Services are turned on by following the instructions in HP Printers - Turn On Web Services.
