Hi I got a printer inherited to me when my father in law passed away. He was enrolled in instant ink and he had 2 sets of new ink. How do i use it without enrolling in instant ink? I do not want to enroll and I feel i should not have to,to use printer and the ink he already paid for. What can i do?

Hi @devildog1341,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

If you do not wish to enroll in the Instant Ink program, and it is canceled, you cannot use Instant Ink cartridges without enrolling.

Here's what you need to know & do:

If you have an instant ink cartridge on your printer, remove it and discard that, you can only use regular cartridges on your printer once you cancel the program.

That said, if you have trouble using regular cartridges, I recommend you turn off the web service using the steps from this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04808536

when done successfully, check if it works fine.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
