Hi Chocha,

The E0 error on HP printers typically indicates an issue with the ink cartridges. Follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the error.

Common Causes of E0 Error

  1. Ink Cartridge IssuesThe error often arises from problems with the ink cartridges, such as incorrect installation, compatibility issues, or dirty contacts.
  2. Printer Carriage JamObstructions in the printer's carriage can also trigger the E0 error.
  3. Firmware or Software BugsOutdated firmware or software glitches may cause the printer to misinterpret the cartridge status.

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. Power Reset the Printer:
  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the wall outlet and the back of the printer.
  • Wait for 60 seconds to allow the printer's internal memory to reset.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on to see if the error clears.

  1. Check Cartridge Compatibility:
  1. Clean Cartridge Contacts:
  1. Reinstall Cartridges:
  1. Update Firmware:
  1. Inspect for Hardware Issues:
