Hi @jeepteck,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 All-in-One Printer isn’t printing, and you're only getting a generic error message with no explanation. Sorry to hear about it. Here are the most effective steps to try and troubleshoot the issue:

1. Restart Everything

  • Turn off the printer
  • Shut down your PC or device
  • Unplug the printer from the power for 1 minute
  • Turn everything back on in this order:
    → Printer → Wi-Fi router (if used) → Computer

🟩 Why? Clears error memory and resets communication between the printer and the computer.

2. Check Printer Connection

Make sure the printer is connected to your computer via:

  • Same Wi-Fi network

Print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer’s touchscreen:

Tap Wi-Fi icon > Settings > Print Reports > Wireless Test Report

3. Check for Print Queue Issues

On Windows 11:

  1. Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers
  2. Right-click HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 → Choose See what’s printing
  3. If there’s a stuck job, click Printer > Cancel All Documents

I hope this helps, try and keep me posted.

Take care and have a good day.
