Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have not used my computer since 9/23 & I cancelled my subscription. However, now that I've recovered & want to use my computer, I can't print because it says "cannot print. visit www.instantink.com for more information." I'm not very computer savvy, so I don't know what to do.

Hi @GammyNana,

Please find the next set of steps below.

Restart Print Spooler Service:

  • Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • In the Services window, scroll down to find Print Spooler.
  • Right-click on Print Spooler and select Restart.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

Check Printer Status and Connections:

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  • Check that there are no paper jams or other physical issues with the printer.

Reinstall the Printer Driver:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your printer and click on Remove device.
  • Download the latest driver for your printer from the HP Support website.
  • Install the driver and add the printer again.

If the Problem Persists:

Factory Reset the Printer:

  • Performing a factory reset can sometimes resolve persistent issues.
  • Refer to the printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset. Typically, this involves pressing a combination of buttons on the printer’s control panel.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, contact HP Support for further assistance.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
