printer said install new cartridges to set up so cancelled instant ink program as there was plenty of ink left in them then bought new ones at the store (oem) and installed them still says to install new ones and ink is full

printer says to restart instant ink to be able to print.  If I have to buy another printer my love affair with HP will be over.  I never received new cartridges the ones in my printer are the original factory shipped with the printer how can they be locked out?

Hi @bigbillspero

 

Looks like you have an Instant Ink ready printer which means your account gets activated when you enroll the printer in Instant Ink. The set up cartridges you receive become Instant Ink cartridges once the enrollment is complete. As you have cancelled the account, you'll have to replace them with the regular ink cartridges.

yes i bought new ink and error mesg. wont change they are the right inks so i still dont know why it wont print how do you get rid of the error mesg ?

Not the answer I was hoping for but it makes sense. At 60 bucks for a set of cartridges, probably cheaper to buy a new printer. This type of locking the customer in doesn't make me want another HP.
