Hi! When I originally signed up for HP instant ink I was using a different printer. That printer stopped working, so I bought my current one. However, when I hooked up my current one I guess I did not hook it up in place of the old one but as an additional print. How can I just remove the old one from the Instant Ink settings?

From my side, it is unclear from your description whether the printer is -- or is not - part of an Instant Ink account.

One more try...

If you are trying to remove a printer from an Instant Ink account, contact Instant Ink support >> Talk to an HP agent who can access your private information.

If you are not trying to remove an old printer from your Instant Ink account,

If you are instead trying to remove a printer from your computer, tablet, phone, or HP Account Dashboard Device list,

(then)

  • In general, printers and other unwanted devices can be removed from your computer, tablet, or phone.

Unfortunately, I don't have any MacOS in the home office -- I cannot tell you how to uninstall printer software from your MacOS PC.  I suspect uninstalling printer software is not different from uninstalling other software or apps from your system.

If the intent is to remove the printer from your HP Smart / HP Connected account - ePrint -

then, try the following to access the information:

HP Smart / HP Connected Login

Click Flag to switch to your region

Click My Printers

Select / Click the Printer you want to remove > Change Settings

Select / Click Remove Printer

OR

If the intent is to try and remove an unwanted printer / device from your HP Account Dashboard list, the following might work.

HP Account - Login / Dashboard

HP Device list, Cases, Warranty information, How-to / Troubleshooting, Product and Service information, Add or Delete a device

Open website and sign into HP Smart Account / Dashboard

Click on your user account name (upper right corner of the webpage)

Click on My HP Account

Click  on My HP Dashboard

Click on the "X" next to the device you want to remove.

Example - HP Account > My HP Account > Dashboard > My Devices

HP_Account_Dashboard_6HP_Account_Dashboard_6
