HP ENVY Inspire 7920e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

cancelled my instant ink subscription as i was paying for 500 pages a month which i wasnt using and had 1500 pages rolled over. i reduced the subscription to use up these pages only to discover that you lose the pages if you change your subscription. so i cancelled it but had to wait a month for it to take effect! this meant that hp could charge me for overprinting my subscription. now the cancellation has taken effect i cant print anything because the cartridges only work if you have an instant ink subscription. I have two nearly new cartridges installed and another new one that are now completely useless. instant ink is a con with all these terms in the small print

Hi @Simonrsv,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the Instant Ink subscription!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

When you make changes to your Instant Ink subscription plan, please keep in mind that any unused rollover pages above your new plan’s limit won’t carry over, this helps make sure your page balance matches your updated plan.

Also, even if you cancel your subscription, you’ll still have a final bill at the end of your billing cycle, which may include any extra pages you’ve printed that month.

One thing to note is that Instant Ink cartridges are designed to work only with an active subscription, once the subscription ends, the cartridges won’t work in the printer anymore. This is part of how the Instant Ink service works to keep everything fair for all subscribers.

If you have a lot of rollover pages or think your printing needs might change, it’s a good idea to plan any adjustments ahead of time so you can make the most of your pages and avoid any surprises.

If you’d like help reviewing your plan or have any questions, please let me know, I’m always here to help you! 🌟

I hope this helps.
