HP ZCentral 4R Base Model Workstation
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hey all,

we are trying to use 3 HP ZCentral 4R workstations with HP ZCentral Remote Boost. The initial setup and a first test with a user already connected to the machines was ok. After connecting with a new, previously unknown user, it is no longer possible to work correctly with Remote Boost. After logging in, the session is freezing. Are there any registry key or workarounds?

Thanks for your support!

What version of Remote Boost are you using on sender and receiver?  Are you logging off the primary user when ending your session or just closing the session without signing out?  Are you trying to use collaboration?   Does the new user have username and password on the sender?

Hey Kelly,

thanks for your answer. The Sender & Receiverversion is 20.3.0.8831.

Yes the primary user was logged off, i also tried to restart the computer before connecting. No Collaboration, fresh connect.

The new user is an AD account, but has never been logged in to the sender before.

But the old (first) User is after the connection attempt of the new User also not able to log in to the server. For better understanding procedure of the setup:

1. Connect Manager on Server

2. Connect Agent / Boost Sender on Workstation

3. Connect Client on Test-PC

4. User Old connects to Workstation & no Problems

5. User New connects to Workstation & Error

6. User Old connects to Workstation & Error

Can you provide me with the error you are getting with Remote Boost?  Thank you for letting me know you also have Connect in the mix.  I was thinking this was Remote Boost only.  You have verified on the sender that the new user trying to connect to has a username and password on this sender?  To make sure I am understanding the issue, the client is able to make the connection and launch the receiver, but then Remote Boost is giving an error that the connection fails?  I would also like to collect some logs so will reach out in a PM.

The same Problem also occurs without Connect. The Workstation is AD-joined and the user is a AD User. He was never connected to the Workstation, so there are no Credentials of the User at the beginning. But can't the sender get the info from the AD?

Yes, the (new and also old after first connection of new) user is able to make the connection, launch the receiver. The users getting the desktop-screen. But the screen is freezed, one curser is fixed and the other has no impact. (VMouse is installed / Problem accours from vm->wrkstation and pc->wrkstation)

Maybe there is a problem with the Nvidia Grafic Card?

Which further logs do you need or do you want to jump on the device in a short session?

I am having PM enabled for you.  As soon as I get the email that it is ready, I will reach out in PM.  We can arrange a session together.
