Hi  @john8418

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m glad to help. I understand you're trying to install the learning app on your HP Chromebook x360 14a-ca0000, and you've noticed that the Google Play Store is not available on the device. Let's work through this together.

To better understand the situation, could you kindly share a few details?

  1. Is your Chromebook signed in with a personal Google account or a school-managed account?
  2. Is the option to enable the Google Play Store missing entirely, or is it present but unavailable to select?

In the meantime, kindly try these steps to check whether the Google Play Store can be enabled:

Step 1: Check for ChromeOS Updates

  1. Click the time in the bottom-right corner.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Click About ChromeOS.
  4. Select Check for Updates.
  5. If updates are available, install them and restart the Chromebook.

Step 2: Verify Google Play Store Availability

  1. Open Settings.
  2. In the left pane, select Apps.
  3. Look for Google Play Store.
  4. If available, select Turn On and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 3: Confirm Device Restrictions

If the Chromebook is managed by a school or organization, access to the Google Play Store may be restricted by the administrator. If you see a message indicating the device is managed, kindly let us know.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
