How do i configure receiver for only one display when sender has two?

I have decided that this happened because I was using the VGA input connected to an HDMI Adapter that was plugged into the HP HDMI to DisplayPort adapter. Thus various signals were NOT getting sent to the Display Driver about the status of the Display. Wit two Displays and Two DisplayPort cables from PC to Display This is what I get. The only other reason is that I am using the native Intel Graphics and not the NVIDIA card.. Assuming the NVIDIA card does not give this same "Feature" or "Problem."  I say Problem as I can not think of why anyone would want two or more displays on a 13, 15 inch laptop screen when it takes a magnifying glass to even recognize ICONS!

IF HP Designed the software this way, then they did not design it right.  I can get around the problem by Starting  Remote Boost Receiver, going to Settings - Display - Multiply Displays - and selecting "Show only 1". Which is what I do when I forget to set it this way when I am not using the second display. With a Degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Minor - which was the only way to get Computer language college training in 1970 as the Math Department had all Computer courses, I have written enough code to know that the Setting Page of Remote Boost Receiver could add an option to "Display only 1" along with options for each display. 

Nir Sofer at WWW.NirSoft.NET has written code to shut off monitors etc., MultiMonitorTool, so I know it can be done.

Let me try your setup.  Not sure if I can make this work the way you expect, but let me try.  I will setup a dual display sender and connect with a laptop with no external monitor and see if I can just get the primary display from the receiver to show up on my laptop.
