After installing (macOS Catalina 10.15.4) from the installer wrapped in M08158-001.tar (which needs approval in the security & privacy settings), the application will not start, giving error:

The application “HP ZCentral Remote Boost” can’t be opened.

Hi Otto,

Do you get any error messages in the receiver log file, or not even that?

Other users who could not open RGS found out the problem was that the socket buffer size needed to be increased.

The user JFP2 posted a workaround that does just that to allow RGS to run, and I thought this could be helpful to you.

That hasn't worked for me:

sudo sysctl -w kern.ipc.maxsockbuf=8000000

kern.ipc.maxsockbuf: 2097152

sysctl: kern.ipc.maxsockbuf=8000000: Result too large
