I have a paper jammed behind the feeder tray. I understand that the feeder tray cannot be removed so how do I remove the paper?

After reviewing the hp videos I decided to have a repair person check it out. So I disconnected the printer and happened to turn it upside down and there was the jammed paper! I removed the jamb and I'm back in business! 

So why didn't hp suggest checking the bottom?
