Product: HP Deskjet 3730
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I installed my Deskjet 3730 yesterday so the ink cartridges are new but the bottom half of the lines are not printing.  Does anybody know how I would fix this?  Many thanks.  Tracy

Can you scan and post a sample here so wee can see?

You have a camera icon to insert photos. By your words, it smells like ink cartridge problem.

That is a result of dried ink cartridges. You can try a few cleaning cycles you might get a better print quality but you will probably need to replace black first or even both ink cartridges in the end.

Thank you for your help with this.  Would that also happen if the printer cartridges were only just opened?  I bought the printer in 2017 but it has remained in its box since then.

Yes, there is an expiration date on each cartridge, if they expired they need to be replaced for sure no matter they are just opened.
