I am trying to print photos on 4x6 HP Advanced Photo Paper, Glossy, and keep getting rough marks through the photos, in the same location each time. It is a band of 'mottled' ink, see below:

Ideas on how to fix this?

Do you experience this issue only when printing on Photo Papers?

Try making a Photocopy and let me know how it goes

Also ensure you have the latest Firmware update. Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168

If the issue persists, clean the printhead and let me know if you face any issues

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .

  2. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Printer Maintenance.

  3. Touch Clean Printhead, and then touch Continue.

    A test page prints.

Example of the printhead cleaning test page

  4. Examine the test page.

Keep me posted 😊

Hi there,

This issue happens only when printing on photo papers, I have the latest Firmware update, and have cleaned the printhead a few times already with no results.

Any other ideas?
