When you change the transfer kit, is it required to change the rollers as well? or it is just optional?

They are with reason part of the transfer kit. I would install new rollers, the paper feed is the most common errors that users have on their printers. Installing new paper pickup rollers will make the printer to work without feed problems.

Of course, if they have been recently replaced then you are fine. Examine the surface of rubber roller old one with the new one, and replace if worn out, if not replace them later.

Yeah, that was the reason I asked, paper pickup rollers were recently changed.
