Compaq Presario CQ5604F PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

After a weeks vacation I came back and wanted to print some paperwork. First page started great for about 2 lines and the rest printed like the cartridge was out of ink. Inserted a new black ink cartridge (XL) and the black wouldn't print at all. I tried all the trouble shooting: uninstall; Reinstall: clean printer heads; Align printer heads. All the 3 color cartridges are working fine. The machine has been banged around and neither has the black ink cartridge. I even bought another cartridge and put in and still no black print.

 

I need some help and I have a limited scope as to what to do next. The printer is very good shape and is about 2 years old and lightly used, Thank you.

I recommend you to contact the HP Support Team as this could be a hardware/printhead issue.
