OfficeJet 8710
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have not installed the print cartridges yet, but have had several warning emails and. Also billed for printing.

Why - since your cartridges are still in my office shelf and I am not using the ink that I purchased with my new printer?

I was told very clearly I would not be billed... yet I have been billed several times when still using my ink!

It feels like stealing when I can not stop the billing...

Hi Dale.

If you enroll while non instant ink cartridges are installed billing will not start until an instant ink or instant ink ready cartridge is installed. You can call in at the number below to enroll when you feel you are ready to do so.

I just purchased a HP OfficeJet Pro 8710. it came with ink and I also
purchased extra ink.
I like the auto ink ship idea, but I have a lot of ink at the moment.
Can I sign up at a later date? After I use up the shipped ink and
install my purchased ink?

Hey there! @Yukon1, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand you have not installed the instant ink cartridges on your printer. But still got billed for the same.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

As you mentioned you have not installed the instant ink cartridges on your printer. But still got billed for the same.

The HP Instant Ink billing cycle begins on the day you insert your first HP Instant Ink cartridges in your enrolled printer. Your credit or debit card is billed 30 days after you insert your first HP Instant Ink cartridges. For example, if you insert HP Instant Ink cartridges on February 5, the billing cycle begins on February 5 and ends on March 4. The first credit or debit card charge is applied on March 5. The billing date cannot be changed, and the monthly fee is charged on the same day each month while you are enrolled.

Hi I was able to call into the help desk. The fellow was extremly helpful.

Apparently my printer came with a special three month trial, but when I set it up I said yes to the free trial...

I should have said no until I had used up all my own ink.

So technically my fault, I misunderstood when to activate the free trial.
