I have had the same problem for 4 weeks now for my OJP 8740.  I was on chat with an HP employee for 5 hours and they were not even able to assist.  We went through every partial to full on factory reset and even that did not kill the admin password.  I have no idea why they have made this the most assinine , convaluted, extrenuous, and PITA process ever!!!!!  I am supposed to now call a supervisor tpo have them try and assist me.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
