For some reason when I select a printer (in my home mind you) it now shows "HP ePrint + JetAdvantage"
It made this change several week ago and I have not had many problems trying to print but now I'm getting this "UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH PRINTER" error message and have not been able to print!!
I get this message often but eventually I have been able to print
I've had this printer for a while now and now I cannot just select my printer on my home network
Why did this change take place without my permission and how do I get past this message so I can print????

@FreddieP
Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
Flower_Bud is at your service.
As I understand, your printer does not print as it's giving an error message " Unable to communicate with the printer"
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
When was the last time it worked fine?
Were there any hardware/software changes made?
Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?
Is Wi-Fi light blinking or steady on the printer?
Let' try these steps to resolve the issue:
Reset network settings
To reset the administrator password and network settings
1. On the printer control panel, touch (right arrow), touch Setup, and then touch Network.
2. Touch Restore Network Defaults, and then touch Yes.
A message appears stating that the network defaults have been restored
Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi following steps from the link: https://hp.care/2M7jNe4.
If the issue persists, please try assigning a static IP address and a manual DNS address:
* Obtain the IP address of the printer – You can touch the “wireless” icon on the printer control panel to obtain the IP address.
* Type the IP address on your web browser to obtain the printer EWS page on your computer.
* Go to the “Network” tab – Click on “Wireless (802.11) – Then click on “Network address (IPv4)
* Click on the radio button which says “Manual IP” and then click “Suggest a manual IP address” to give a manual IP address to your printer.
* Click on radio button which says “Manual DNS Server” and under manual preferred type 8.8.8.8 and under manual alternate type 8.8.4.4 (This is Google DNS server address)
Keep me posted,
For I shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,
And your device is up and running again,
Have a great day 🙂
Cheers 🙂

Dear Flower Bud...
When I got home from work yesterday afternoon and had not yet received a reply I went ahead and uninstalled the printer and then re-installed and that did the trick... I actually do not have the ePrint+JetAdvantage now and that makes me very happy! I really don't know when my system changed to that way of printing anyway. I certainly dio not rememeber making such a change.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your follow up... I greatly appreciate it
