My printer starts to give "79 SERVICE ERROR - TURN OFF THEN TURN ON'       I tried as the solution as seen in the forum of

- switch off router

- restart printer

- check computer no print queue

- turn on router

That still did not solve the problem.

A few fact that may help

1. Printer is connected on wireless network

2. Only my computer is connected to my printer via wi-fi

3. Seems to print sometime, not always, if send in only JUST 1 page and no double sided print at each print order otherwise - no printing is done other than the error message and the printer restarts

4. This printer was sent to me from HP as a replacement of the malfunction machine after 2-3months purchased.

Appreciate your help.

This error is related to communication.Maybe update the firmware of the printer can help solve the problem. Also make sure that there is not a lot of walls and interference between the pc and the printer. The signal of the wi-fi could also be week giving this problem.Maybe do a test and print to your pc using USB and see if there is the same problem.Hope this will help.

My printer is wired to the computer and I have the same problem of error 79.  Had to use a different Apple computer and was able to print wireless but with a different printer as well
