I print a lot on A5. When printing lengthwise (small edge to the top) the printer regularly gets a heat problem after 30 pages or so.
I would love to print on A5 in the landscape orientation though, but I can't find the right setup. When I set everything to A5 landscape, I only get a print out of half of the picture.
Any Ideas?

Hello @jnaber , how are you ?

Please, try the procedures below:

On the Printer Control Panel
  1. Load the Paper: Remove any other paper from the target tray (e.g., Tray 1/manual feed or Tray 2). Insert the A5 paper, ensuring the paper guides fit snugly against the edges of the stack without bending it.
  2. Configure the Tray:
    • Navigate to the Settings (wrench/setup icon) menu on the printer's control panel.
    • Select Paper Setup (or Trays).
    • Choose the specific tray you loaded the A5 paper into.
    • Select Paper Size and scroll to find and select A5 from the list of options.
    • Select Paper Type and choose the appropriate type (e.g., Plain Paper, Labels, Heavyweight, etc.).
    • Select Done or OK to save the settings.

In the Computer's Print Settings
  1. Open Print Dialog: Open the document you want to print. From the application's menu, select File, then Print.
  2. Access Printer Properties: In the Print window, ensure the correct Laser Jet printer is selected. Click on Properties, Printer Properties, or Preferences to open the detailed settings.
  3. Set Paper Size and Type:
    • Go to the Paper/Quality or Paper tab.
    • In the Paper Size drop-down menu, select A5 (210 x 148 mm).
    • In the Paper Type or Media drop-down menu, select the type matching the paper in the printer tray.
  4. Check Scaling and Orientation:
    • Ensure that any page scaling options are set to Actual Size or Scale: 100% to prevent the document from being resized to fit another format (like A4).
    • Check the Orientation (Portrait or Landscape) in the print preview to ensure the content fits the A5 paper correctly.
  5. Print: Click OK in the Properties window, and then click Print in the main print dialog to send the job.
Tip: If A5 is not listed as a standard size in the driver settings, you may need to create a custom paper size (148mm x 210mm) in the Print Server Properties in Windows. It is recommended to perform a test print on a plain sheet first to check alignment.

Hello @jnaber

You can follow the procedure indicated above; it is valid for laser printers.

Best regards

I did that. It doesn't solve my problem.
Is there a way (or a setting) to print in A5 landscape orientation without loosing half of the picture?
