Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My auto doc feeder is not working properly.  It tries, but it ends up making  noises and ends up in a mis pick.  I've cleaned the rollers, etc.  How can I fix this?  Thanks for any help.

I've replaced the ADF assembly on a couple of these in the past for that problem. The ADF is not a very robust unit and the gear drive wears out and begins to slip or not run at all. The only fix is to replace the ADF unit on the scanner.

Thank you! Do you know where I can find a replacement ADF?

There's a dark brown color flat line connected from ADF's motor to formatter which is easily going bad.

I have replaced that line for more than ten different M1536s.

It is going from ADF (top left most rear corner, open top cover, there's an black n-shape cap, with a hook at the bottom side, use a small flat screw driver to unlock it then the line is connected there) going down through the glass then coming to under the scanner then down to the formatter.

Replace it and the problem will be fine.

Your best bet is to Google the part and see who has one and choose what would work best for you.
