Since some time the HP Color laserjet CP1515n prints black always with a shadow of red. Deviattion of about 0.8 mm. The standard automatic calibration of the printer does not solve the problem, whereas I can't find any control calibration software to modulate/correct it. The "old" ToolboxFX does not work under Windows 10 anymore (I can't even install it from the original disk delivered at purchase).
Is there any solution other than buying a new laser printer? Do I need to replace parts? Should I clean a part? I appreciate any comment.

Hi! @GJBoer, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
I understand when your print from your printer the black text comes with a red shadow on it.
Don't worry I'll try to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Have you tried checking with a different toner cartridge?
Have you tried printing from a different application? Does the issue persist?
Splendid analysis and remarkable patience shown. It is immensely appreciated.
Replace low, empty or faulty toner cartridges on your printer.
Try changing the print settings from the application you are using to print.
Try printing a Print Quality Diagnostic report and check if the issue persists.
Check the print density settings
-
In the Printer or the Printers and Faxes window, right-click the printer icon, and then click Properties.
-
Click the Device Settings tab.
-
If you are experiencing the following issues, change the Print Density settings.
-
Printout has areas of gray shading or a gray background
Decrease the print density setting. To do this, slide the bar to the left.
-
Printout has light, dull or faded areas
Increase the print density setting. To do this, slide the bar to the right.
-
-
Click Apply, click OK, and then close the Properties window.
-
Try the print job again.

The suggestions that were made have been followed already upto the instructions of setting the density. The window to change these settings however is completely absent on my Windows 10 PC. The diagnosis page shows terrible outlining of the colors but there is no software to correct this available on the HP service or upload sites. The 'HP Print and Scan Doctor' software sees the printer but no management of the outlining settings shows up.
So, still the same problem.

I appriciate your efforts for writing back to us.
As you mentioned when you print the diagnostics page you have print quality issues.
Have you tried checking with a different toner cartridge?
It looks like an issue with the toner cartridge or the printhead has gone faulty.
