From the service manual, here are the listed possible causes of a blank display
- No power.
- Formatter not fully seated into connector of the DC controller.
- Memory DIMM is faulty, installed wrong, or not seated properly.
- Bad DC Controller PCA.
- Bad Control panel or Control panel connector not securely seated.
- Bad Formatter.
As you just had the unit apart, the first thing I would check would be all connections, even if you did not have them unplugged. It is easy, especially for FFC cables to dislodge them by accident.
