Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I want to add memory to my CM2320 mfp networked laser printer so I researched the part number, ordered it and found that it does not fit in the memory slot on the side of the device. I can't locate sufficient information on the upgrade, can anyone offer a link to the part from HP and a link the insallation guide?

Thank you,

Can you confirm that I can install 256MB HP LaserJet P2015 PC2-3200 DDR2-400 144-pin SDRAM SODIMM (p/n CB423A)  to increase the memory of the printer and also, is it necessary to remove the existing memory or is their sufficient room to add the additioin memory?

Thank you for your assistance, it is greatly appreciated.

The link I gave you is the memory for this printer. If the printer has never been upgraded then there is one slot available for installation of memory upgrade. The printer comes with 160mb of memory on the board and can be expanded to 416mb using the 1 slot available.  Keep in mind this is operating memory and in most instances upgrading will not show a boost in performance or speed since 160mb is quite a bit to begin with. If you are having out of memory issues that is usually associated with to many items stored on the printer where most can be deleted and adding additional memory usually does not help this situation.
