My CP1025nw printer is directly connected to the modem/router using its Ethernet port. The "wireless" button on the control panel is not illuminated. I printed out the configuration page and it says the Network in Use is "Wired", the 802.11b/g/n Wireless Status is "Enabled", Communication Mode is "Infrastructure", Network Name is "Unknown" and Authentication is "None (Open)".
My PC tells me there is a wireless network called "HP-Print-62-Laserjet 1025". The HP doco says that connecting through the Ethernet port should make the wireless network inaccessible. The printer-specific wireless network is marked as "Open" (which sounds like the PC agrees with the printer configuration page). I think that represents a potential security risk or that a neighbour could piggy-back off my wi-fi (I'm not claiming to be technical, so that's just a guess).
How do I turn off this wi-fi or shouldn't I worry?
