I have this printer at home, working fine, usb connected to my machine.
But our five family machines are connected in a wireless LAN.
I don't see the printer from any other machine.
I went to HP's page for "HP Laserjet P3010 Series Printers - Network configuration" and it just blew me away, far to technical, lost before I start.
Is it possible for a home user to put a 3015 on a Lan, so's it can be printed to from any machine on a wireless lan?
It would require the machine it is linked to be switched on at the time, I'm fine with that.
If so is it simple, manageable, or a major effort?

Yes, all you need to do is setup the Share the Printer sharing option in the printer driver settings on your computer, then install the printer on all of the devices that want to print to it using the shared printer info. The link below looked like the easiest to understand:

The other option would be to get a USB to ethernet print server to attach to your computer and to the network.
Just Google "USB to ethernet print server" to see your options. They're just small adapters that would then allow the printer to print from any device without your computer needing to be ON.

The answer is yes, you simply need to ensure that that the wireless and wired networks are visible to each other. The most reliable method is to assign a static address to the printer and then manually install the printer using a Standard TCP/IP ports.
