HP 51630Q CX Jet Series Transparency Film
Linux

Hi, I was given a package of sealed unopened 50 HP 51630Q CX Jet Series Transparancy Film. Looking at the copyright of 1993 it looks to be around 25 years old but is still new in the package. Can I use this in my HP CP1215 Lazer Jet Printer? If not I do have a Cannon Inkjet MP495, would they be safe to use in it? I've never printed transparencies before so I don't want to ruin my printer. Hope someone can help me out here.

Thank you for your support. After reading what you pointed me to, I agree the answer is no.
As to your question, the answer is no I have not taken any other steps. I have never printed transparencies before on either a inkjet or a laser printer. I think I shold be able to use them on my Cannon Pixma 495 injet printer my only worry is that they might just be too darn old. The package was sealed and everything looks perfectly good so I might just try one from my Windows 7 computer, I usually use Ubuntu Linux and it does not bring up the tool box to select transparencies.
Any way, thanks for helping. John
