My computer recognizes the printer to print on paper, but finds it "offline" when I try to scan.  It appears that the HP scan software cannot find the HP printer.  It has worked just fine for a long time, including yesterday, but today NO.

Uninstall and reinstall.

HP Recommended

Uninstall the printer driver. Download latest driver from hp website and install. After installation restart the PC. Hope it will help you.
