I have installed old 4000n and 5000n printers. I networked them by ethernet cables to my router. I manually set the IP addresses, Network Masks, and Def Gateway. The installations were smooth, and they print beautifully. BUT, when I try to access the Web Server, by entering the IP addresses in my browser, all I get is this blank HP page:
The Help button in the top right corner is functional, but that is all. Can anyone advise me?

You are probably using the older jet direct 600 network cards and unfortunately the web interface will not run with newer version of java. About the last operating system I have seen that will work with those cards to access the web interface was windows 98. You will just have to live without the interface.

I have the exact same problem. I used the HP Download Manager firmware update tool and am now at the latest firmware revision for my JetDirect cards in the HP 4000's I have, but it hasn't fixed the broken web interface.
Is there a solution or workaround? I really need to get it to work, there are some options you simply can't change with just the front panel.

You are out of luck unless you have an old windows 98 computer someplace. The problem is not the card but the java interface that it needs to display the web interface. It only works with real old versions of java which none of todays computers use.
