Microsoft Windows XP

Windows XP SP3 32 bit with LaserJet M203dw. Not connected to the internet, just a direct USB connection to the printer.

I have tried every driver available but to no avail, I always get the handle is invalid error message. No driver out there seems to be compatible for Windows XP despite claims from HP that it is. I ccleaned the laptop and even erased any other printer from the registry before installing the printer. Don't know what else to do. Anyone has the proper driver if it exists ?

@WCF1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

Click here to download the driver available for the printer to work on a Win XP OS. If this does not help, install the printer using Windows built-in driver

Refer to this document to know how.

 

Note: Win XP is not supported anymore by Microsoft and necessary updates are not provided due to which applications may not work as designed.
