My LaserJet Pro MFP-m277 won't print pdf documents. It used to...but it won't now. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. I am running Mac Mojave (but it actually quit printing Pdf's before the upgrade to Mojave). I have tried to print as an Image (in Acrobat) and I have tried using Preview to print the image. I have looked for updates for the printer, but don't have any available.

Welcome to HP Forums. This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
I have gone through your Post and I would like to help
Let's start by checking for any latest printer Firmware updates
Select the Setup or Settings menu, select Preferences, Printer Maintenance or Tools and then select Web Services and Printer Update. ( The Menu Options vary from printer to printer )
Restart your Router, printer and Mac in the same sequence
Next download and run the HP Easy Start from this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-color-laserjet-pro-mfp-m277-series/7089945 and add the printer to the Mac Printing Queue using Airprint
If you need to change the operating system, click Change, select your version, and then click Change.
Click Download next to HP Easy Start or next to the full feature driver, depending on the option that displays.
Open the Downloads folder, and then open the HP Easy Start file or the full feature driver .dmg file to begin the installation.
Follow the on-screen instructions to set up the printer connection and install the software.
If you are prompted to add the printer to the printer queue, click the name of your printer, click the Use or Print Using menu, select the name of your printer in the pop-up menu, and then click Add.
Confirm AirPrint or Secure AirPrint displays in the Use or Print Using menu, and then click Add.
Figure : AirPrint displays in the Use menu
Open a document or photo, click File, and then click Print.
Keep me posted how it goes
Thank you and have a wonderful weekend 😊

Hi,
I did everything you suggested and it still does not work. The pdf acts like it is going to print--the printer dialog box opens with the job and then it just times out and disappears without printing. Sometimes just printing 2 or 3 pages at a time works and sometimes nothing prints at all. Right now--nothing prints at all.
Super frustrating.
Thanks for you attempt to help,

It looks like you were interacting with @KrazyToad, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out.
It's possible that the printer driver installed on your Mac is either damaged or corrupted. Updating Mac OS, removing existing printer driver and then adding a compatible driver may resolve the issue. Let's trey these steps:
1.) Use the steps available here to update Mac OS.
2.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
3.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.
4.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button at the bottom of the list.
5.) Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.
6.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint (If the printer is connected over a network) or select the name of your printer in the pop-up menu if it's connected using a USB cable. Then click Add.
7.) Try to print and scan.
Let me know how it goes!

Thank you for your suggestions. I am going to save the instructions in case I need to try this in the future...but for some really strange reason it started working after doing what @KrazyToad suggested. As noted in my previous message I did everything recommended and it didn't work. A few hours later I tried it again and it printed. No idea--I had not restarted anything since trying earlier, but I will take it. I will go back and mark that post as problem solved. 🙂
Thanks.
