My printer's developed an issue where it can't print certain PDF files. I've even copied the files to a USB flash drive and inserted it directly into the printer. Even did a "Restore Defaults" followed by update to firmware (datacode 20190218). Files originate both from Mac OS Mohave and iOS 12.2. Anyone else experience this? Any solutions? Any place to upload my file so others can try? Printed to my neighbor's cheap Canon printer and it worked first try.

Are they YOUR files or from elsewhere ? I know people put restriction on many PDF files and won't allow users to print. Some files only allow us to print first few few pages many files won't allow us to print at all.
Regards.

One is an invoice from a company. Another is a multi-page product catalog that cannot print starting about halfway through. Both of these print without issue to other non-HP printers, so it's not a file restriction issue.
Just now I tried printing out Google Maps directions and it also failed to print. It whirred for a fraction of a second, then went silent as if nothing had been sent, and the job disappeared from the print queue (same behavior I see with the PDFs mentioned above).
If others are experiencing files that only print part-way through (but print fully on other printers), that would seem like the M281fdw printers aren't working correctly. I was thinking of buying a second one, but not if it can't handle print jobs properly.

Could someone with a M281fdw try printing the file below? This is one of those that doesn't work for me. The printer whirrs a few seconds without paper movement, then it acts as though it had finished printing. (Curious also what happens with other LaserJet models).
I did call tech support but they claimed to not have printers available to do this simple test(!) I'm suspecting it's an issue common to all printers of this model.
