Laserjet 2100
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

When I connected my HP Laserjet 2100 to my personal computer using a USB connection it no longer would print.  The documents are sent to the queue but they never print.  When I first connected the printer the PC went through the usual plug and play install of the drivers, etc. but nothing prints.  I have tried various types of drivers but have not had any luck.  Soemtimes, if I restart the PC, the document will print.  I would really appreciate any ideas because I love this printer.

Check to see if the connected port in the 2100 printer property was set to LPT1 if yes change it to USB001 002 .... it should work.

If there's no any USB001 002 ......then you have a bad USB-LPT cable needed to be replaced. If it is in such case you need to change another new one or use an JetDirect card 600N or 610N 615N.... make 2100 to 2100n and work through Network.
