Hi,

I am trying to print on 60 lb card stock and HP semigloss paper, which is on the list of compatable papers. When I do so- it smudges and looks terrible. However, when I print on regular computer paper turns out perfect. I have been looking up ways to fix this and it seems like I need to change the paper type in my settings. The only problem is no where does it say cardstock or heavy paper.  The only settings ive been able to access is when you go to print a page and can select more details. I am on a Mac- please help me change the paper type to print on Card stock, thank you!

I don't speak Mac --  I can offer some ideas on where to look and how to fix the settings issue.

The printer handles Media type "cards" as explained in the Specifications > Paper Handling

(Note the paper sizes supported for "card" paper.)

This document explains how to change the Driver settings:

HP Printers - Print Driver Settings Guide (Mac)

If you cannot select the "card" Media type, it might be that the setting is not available with your selected Paper Size.

You might need to create a Custom Form for the card paper as explained in the documents above and in Creating Custom Paper Sizes
