Hey guys and gals, I have a question regarding an HP machine i recently serviced, an HP Lj m680m. The internal test pages and all print/copy jobs have poor quality from what looks like washed out text. Instead of the text being a solid filled it has a checkerboard like pattern within all the letters for all colors (looking at the prints from an eye loop you can see the text is printing in diagonally produced lines, but is not fully filling the letters.) It almost looks like the machine is running in an ecomode/toner saving mode, but if it is we don't know how to turn it off. I have run all cleanings and machine calibrations, and even tried applying factory calibration settings with no luck. The machine has O.E.M print and toner cartridges installed. Any thoughts or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try do a Restore Default from front panel or NVRAM (google for how to do it) to see if it helps.
Perhaps update firmware first.
You may need to print out a configuration page first before you that you will nedd to rebuild all the sets.
