Hi @JEFFREY74,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Color LaserJet Pro M254dw printer is not turning on the wireless function or is not connecting to a wireless network. Here are some steps to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Step 1: Locate the Wireless Button

  • The HP Color LaserJet Pro M254dw does not have a physical wireless button. Instead, the wireless settings are accessed through the printer’s control panel.

Step 2: Access Wireless Settings via the Printer Control Panel

  1. From the Home Screen, navigate to the Setup menu by selecting the Gear icon on the control panel.

  2. Swipe left on the control panel or use the arrows to navigate to Network Setup.

  3. Select Wireless Menu to select the network settings.

  4. Ensure that the Wireless setting is turned on.

Step 3: Connect to the Wireless Network

  • Use the Wireless Setup Wizard from the network menu on the control panel. It will search for wireless networks in the area and display a list.

  • Choose your network from the list and enter the WEP key or WPA security passphrase if prompted.

Step 4: Troubleshoot Wireless Network Issues

  • Ensure that the printer is within range of the wireless signal.

  • Restart your router to refresh the network connection.

  • Check if other devices can connect to the Wi-Fi to rule out router issues.

Step 5: Additional Network Troubleshooting Tips

  • Make sure the printer and computer are on the same wireless network.

  • Temporarily disable any firewall or security software that might be blocking the connection.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
