Product: ASUS
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Downloaded MS drivers don't recognize LaserJet 1300 printer.  Tried USB-2 and USB-3 cables with no positive result.  HP will not provide viable help with this unless I pay $19.95.  I suspect that there must be a way because the printer used to work on a Windows 8.0 that was upgraded to Windows 10.

HP 1300 can work nicely in Windows 10 for sure.

You can manually add new printer  and choose LPT1 or Dot4-001 (not USB001).

Find HP 1300 in the HP menu. if 1300 is not in the list.

Then click the  [Windows Update] and after Windows 10 be done itself.

Find 1300 again and it will be there with no doubt.

You can use 1300 from now on.
