- Printer (HP LASERJET PRO 200 COLOR M251nw) was connected (and worked great) with my Note 4 mobile w/hotspot (ONLY WIFI I HAVE).
- I got a newer phone (Note 8 ) and it was working okay. Then Verizon & Samsung decided to delete the security (WPA2). This is when the problem began. They say they have fixed the problem, but I am still having a problem connecting.
HELP!!

If you changed phones did the WPA password change? If that is the case you will need to enter the new password into the printer in order to connect.

Did not change password. I used the same one. (I had it working on the Note 8.) Then right before I moved from Longview to El Lago, Texas it stopped. That's when I found out about Verizon and Samsung taking away the WPA2 security. It hasn't worked since then, but they say they fixed it.
[I am in the process of looking for a new computer...probably a cheap one that runs Windows I suppose.] Any suggestions?
At the moment all I have is a Samsung Note 8 and SMT820 tablet.
Thank you. 🥀

the spec sheet for this printer shows that it supports Wifi direct and I would recommend that you configure the printer that way. Doing that will eliminate any dependence on your cellular provider to have a functioning printer. Once configured your Note 8 will communicate directly with the printer. You will need to download the HP Smart App to make this easy to use. This app will search for WiFi direct printers and assist you in connecting.
