Connecting MacBook Air to HP LaserJet Wireless Printer

My MacBook Air running  OS High Sierra version10.13.3 will not connect to my LaserJet Pro 200 Color M251nw.

• When was the last time the printer was working fine?
• Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
• Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

Meanwhile, I recommend you follow the below steps to fix this issue.

Reset Mac printing system and then add the printer by following these steps:

1. Click the Apple menu icon, and then click “System Preferences”.
2. Click “Printers and Scanner” / “Print and Scan” or “Print and Fax”.
3. Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click “Reset printing system”.
4. Click “Reset” in the confirmation window.
5. Enter an administrator username and password, and then click “OK”.
6. Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list
7. Restart your computer and then go back to System preferences – Printers and scanners.
8. Click the “Add button” (+).
9. Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click “Add” to add your printer. Do not select an HP Fax driver.
10. Click “Print Using...” or “Use”, and then select Secure AirPrint or AirPrint. Alternatively, you may select the name of your printer if available in that list.

This should do the trick for you. If it does not, then reset the Mac printing system again and then download the printer from the Apple website link: http://hp.care/2wU8ONm using Apple Software update.
