I have recentley bought new a HP Laserjet Pro M12w, I have used the CD to install the printer but it didnt show me the instation window and so I couldn't connect the printer to my WiFi with my WiFi password so that I can use the printer via WiFi. The printer works with the USB cable. I have tried to use the virtual assistant and the troubleshooting pages but with no success. Ihave also downloaded the instalation drivers etc from the internet but have had the same problem. I understand now that the model I have bought is an old one and has minimal support. Help!

As you also downloaded the software from the web, right click the Start menu, select Run, paste the following and press OK:
C:\LJPM11-M13_Full_Solution\HpSetup.exe
Now follow the steps on screen to configure the printer wirelessly.

Then right click downloaded file and select run as administrator. Now follow onscreen instrucstions.

Thank you for your help with this, but it doesn't work, it extracts but there is no instalation window as before so therefore no instructions to follow. I have downloaded this file now 4 times and each time no instalation window, I also have tried HPEasyStart_8_0_3784_35 and the HP doctor HPPSdr. I think the problem is that my wifi is password protected so my printer can't join the network, I thought that the instalation wizard would offer me the ability to add the printer to my wifi but with out the instalation window I obviously can't do that. I am at a loss what to do. I can print via the usb cable but I bought the printer because it has a wireless capability which it seems I wont be able to use.

Hi Shlomi,
No Joy!
I think I just have to take it on the chin that I have a printer that won't work to it's written standard. Nothing seems to work. At least it will print via the USB cable, not what I bought though!
