Scanned a photo which was set as a PDF by printer and/or Adobe Reader. How can i get my printer HP8500 All-in-one to either scan as JPeg or how do I convert a PDF to JPEG? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Gloria,
Consider:
You can use the converter for free online. It will handle most formats.
You can also buy a program that will do almost anything (if you need to convert files more than once in a while.) Just click on the links along the left side of the page and take a look. I've used both the free converter and I've purchased software from the company - I am satisfied with both experiences.
This link is cool to have around if you want to make your own icons, too. Feed it a copy of your favorite tiny jpg file and it will give you back an icon file. Smiling.
Good Luck!

I don't get it why those drivers don't include a JPG output format.
Maybe you should use a free online PDF to JPG converter, they support conversions up to 600DPI, which is a very high quality. I disklike it that most programs cost you money for such a simple task.

Hey Gloria 🙂
Ive got the same printer and had a similar problem which was very frustrating. As you noticed you have to covnert into jpg, the solution i found was to use PDF to JPG and there you go.
Hope this reaches you in time, or anyone else with the HP8500^^

If you want to convert a scanned pdf photo to a jpeg, all you have to do is convert it on an online website like: pdfjpg.net/.
Like that you wont have to install any additional software. Just upload, convert and download your newly converted files.
Hope this helps, Baki1492.

Yes! In its pdf converter guide page, it says that it's able to convert PDF documents into other formats (multipage TIFF, JPEG, etc). I also downloaded the developers' guide, you can also learn more details from its developers' guide file.

Hi, eastken.
Thanks for your nice sharing. But I wonder whether the sdk you mentioned above offers pdf to jpg conversion tutorial pages like that?

If you have a PDF file then you can use any free PDF to JPG converter like http://pdf-to-jpg-convert.en.softonic.com to convert it to JPG image.
