Why can't I find any sign of an Icon? Not on my Desktop? Not within the program to move to Desktop? It works but I have no way to activate other than when printing. I mainly want to activate a cleaning program but can't do it.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

Not sure if this would work for you:

Create a scan shortcut and high resolution scans  (HP Officejet Pro 8700 AiO series and 6900 series)

Do ensure that FULL featured software is installed.

Thanks,

I am an HP Employee. Although I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

Thanks, but I already said there is no Icon within the Program to move to the Desktop. There is no Icon in my tray to click on!

Therefore I have no way to call up the printer when needed other than asking it to print. This IS NOT right.

Hi,

You should be able to find it under Start > All Apps > HP, that assuming the HP Full Feature Software has been installed.

You may also access the HP Smart app from your Start menu, from there click the Plus icon and add your printer if it is not listed yet, then press the top printer icon and select the HP Toolbox option to run maintenance actions for the printer.
