Direct FAX sending

I LOVE my new color laser jet and use many of the features but do not know how to send a FAX directly from my screen without printing it first then sending through the printer.

Hi,

You should see a Fax - HP Laserjet Pro M477 print queue when printing a document.

Print the document, on the shown dialog type the fax number and press Add, then press Send Fax.

If not such driver exists follow these steps to add one:

• Downlaod the HP universal Fax driver to your desktop:
  http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL60874/ds-146586-1/HPUFDDriver.zip
• Right click teh saved file and select Extract here.., then follow the steps on screen.
• Open the extracted folder, right cick on Setup.exe and select Run as Admin.
• Follow the steps to install the software.
• Print to the HP Universal Fax Driver printer and check the box to add your printer after selecting teh connection type and the printer.
• A Fax driver for your printer is added for future use.

Note: the Universal Fax driver only support your printer thorugh a USB connection on Windows 7:

I see that I need a USB connection for this to work this way, It makes sense I guess. That is not practical for me so I guess I must stick with what I have been doing. Thank you so much for your reply and your service.
