LaserJet P1102w
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I need to disable HP cartridge protection on my LaserJet P1102w. When I try to print, I get an "incompatible cartridge" message. I know this cartridge works, because I was able to print a test page from the EWS page. Every place I look tells me to go to the EWS page and click on "Disable HP Cartridge Protection," but when I go to there, it's not listed at all.

If you can print on your printer from EWS without a problem then you don't have cartridge protection issue.

That may be, but that's what the printer dialogue box, the HP Support Assistant Program, and the live chat person I talked to told me it was. No matter what it is, I can't print.

Did you ever resolve this issue?   I am trying the steps outlined using the EWB, but none of the tabs or menus have any options for "Disable Cartridge Policy" or "Cartridge Protection"   -- it does tell me that I am using a Non-HP cartridge, but no way to resolve/disable it.   This is ONLY an issue when trying to print from our new lap top running Windows 10.   I have never before had an issue printing from our other HP laptop or husband's MAC, and have been using non-HP cartridges for at least 6 months.  I can print from our other computers right now with the current non-HP cartridge... just the new laptop is the issue. … I know, it doesn't make sense, but if anyone knows how to resolve, will be greatly appreciated.

I never found a solution. It’s such a horrible printer system that we gave up and bought another printer. The only answer I ever got from anyone was basically, we can’t do anything about that because we want to overcharge you for ink.
