HP - LaserJet Pro MFP M148DW
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just brought home the LaserJet Pro MFP M148DW yesterday. Both the writeups and reviews at Best Buy and Amazon claimed that this model had a duplexer for automatic duplex printing. I can easily duplex printing manually but can find no way to print duplex automatically.

In the print properties box I see no option other than manual duplex printing.

Can someone verify that this model does not have automatic duplexing, or if it does, point me in the right direction?

Thank you!

Yes, it have:

Duplex printing
Automatic 2-sided printing (standard)

https://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-laserjet-pro-mfp-m148dw

Make sure the Automatic Duplexing option is enabled for the printer driver:

Enter Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right-click the printer icon, then click Printer Properties.
Click the Device Settings tab.
Set the Automatic Two-Sided Duplex Accessory as installed and click OK to save the change.

Now Automatic Duplexing should become available.

Thank you So Very Much for this clear and concise solution. Why this feature is not set as the default for this printer is beyond me. I was thinking of shipping the printer back as defective. You saved the day. Thank you!
