Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I had a MacBook Air and bought the HP laserject M252dw when I bought the MacBook.  For 3 years everything was wonderful. I printed double-sided printing without issue.  It would automatically print on the next side (bring the paper back into the printer and print, I didn't have to do anything).  When I got an HP Pavillion earlier this year, the printer suddenly stopped working.  Thinking they were both HP products, I assumed they could/would work together.

I updated the drivers and finally got it to work.  However, double-sided printing is impossible.  It will only let me print double-sided manually.  Meaning I have to wait for it to print one side, take that pile of paper and put it BACK into the printer. I sometimes forget which way it goes or put the paper in so that it doesn't print out correctly (the wrong page is in back of the first page).  It's SO annoying. I have read EVERYTHING I can possibly read to correct this problem. I had deleted the printer and reinstalled MULTIPLE times.  I cannot get it to print the way it printed on my Mac  - double-sided without any operator assistance.

How can I get this to go back to the way it used to be.  It's driving me mad.  THANKS.

It sounds like the new driver did not configure properly for the duplex function. Check the settings of the printer driver and make sure it knows it has a duplex unit. This is actually a pretty common problem we run into. I am not a MAC expert so I cannot give you the exact location but you will need to go into the printer section of system preferences to find these settings.

Thanks. My old computer was a Mac and it worked perfectly on it. My NEW computer is the HP Pavillion and that is the one causing me all the issues.   I've gone into the printer settings multiple times and can't seem to get it to work right no matter what I do.
